AI Characters
AI character tools help you invent people who do not exist: a protagonist for a story, a non-player character for a tabletop game, a mascot, or a figure to illustrate. Some generate an image of the character. Others generate the description, personality and backstory, and leave the picture to you or to an image generator.
This hub covers both halves:
- Character creators: tools that design a character’s look from a prompt or a set of choices.
- Random character generators: quick ways to get a name, a look and a hook when you are stuck.
- Prompt libraries: wording for describing characters to image and text models, so a character stays consistent from one picture to the next.
It does not cover AI companion or role-play chat apps, where the “character” is a chatbot you talk to. That is a different kind of product with different questions, and we leave it to other publications.
As everywhere on EveryAny.One, a page that lists tools says when their details were checked and whether anyone has used them by hand.
