Typeform
Forms that ask one question at a time, and get answered because of it.
Typeform builds conversational forms and surveys that present one question per screen, with logic jumps, branding and integrations. The design is the product: completion rates on a Typeform are measurably better than on a conventional multi-field form, which is why marketing and research teams pay a premium for it.

What Typeform actually costs over a year
A monthly price is not the same thing as a monthly contract. These are the plans above multiplied out to twelve months, per seat or unit where the plan is charged that way.
| Plan | Monthly | Over 12 months |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | 25 EUR | 300 EUR |
| Plus | 49 EUR | 588 EUR |
| Business | 84 EUR | 1008 EUR |
| Growth Flow | 242 EUR | 2904 EUR |
| Talent | $119 | $1428 |
| Contacts & Automations add-on | 21 EUR | 252 EUR |
Which Typeform plan should you buy?
| Your situation | Recommended | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You need a small number of responses each month | Basic | 25 EUR a month billed yearly in our region, but only 100 responses. That allowance, not the price, is what decides your tier. |
| You expect around a thousand responses a month | Plus | 49 EUR a month with 1,000 responses and custom branding. |
| You run campaigns at volume | Business | 84 EUR a month with 10,000 responses and analytics. |
| You need marketing automation on top | Growth Flow, or the add-on | Growth Flow is 242 EUR. Contacts and Automations is 21 EUR for 2,400 actions, and is unavailable on Free and Basic. |
| You are an HR team | Talent | $119 a month, quoted in dollars on a page that quoted our plans in euros. |
| You need high volume cheaply | Consider Tally instead | Very generous free tier with the same one-question-per-screen model. |

Typeform screenshots
Captured by us in August 2026 at 1440px, unedited. Interfaces change, so these show the product as it looked on the date we verified this profile. Vendors localise pricing by visitor region, so a pricing screenshot may display a different currency to the USD figures recorded above.

Our assessment
Typeform is expensive for what it technically does and frequently worth it anyway, because the thing it does is get forms finished. A conversational, well-branded form completed by 60% of visitors beats a free form completed by 35%, and for lead capture that difference is the whole return. What punishes buyers is the response allowance rather than the seat count: Basic includes 100 responses a month, which a modest campaign exhausts in days. Price the tier against your expected volume, and note that cheaper tools now copy the interaction model closely.
What works in Typeform
- Genuinely higher completion rates than conventional forms
- Logic jumps and recall make forms feel personal
- Excellent branding control on paid tiers
- Clean analytics showing where respondents drop out
What doesn't
- Monthly response allowances are low relative to price
- Free plan is no longer displayed on the pricing page
- Growth Flow is a steep jump for marketing automation
- Competitors now replicate the interaction model far more cheaply

Typeform competitors and alternatives
| Alternative | Why you might pick it instead |

| Google Forms | Free and entirely adequate for internal collection. |
A note on the currency shown
Typeform localises pricing by visitor region and served us euros: Basic at 25 EUR per month, Plus at 49 EUR, Business at 84 EUR and Growth Flow at 242 EUR, all billed yearly. We have recorded the figures we actually saw rather than converting them, because a conversion is an estimate and this site does not publish estimates. Check the price in your own region before budgeting; the plan structure and the response allowances are consistent regardless of currency.
Responses, not seats, decide the tier
Basic includes 100 responses a month. Plus includes 1,000. Business includes 10,000. A single promoted lead-capture form can pass 100 in an afternoon, at which point collection stops or costs more.
This is the most common Typeform billing surprise. Estimate monthly response volume at your busiest expected point, not your average, and price from there.
The Free plan is not on the pricing page
Typeform’s pricing page shows four cards: Basic, Plus, Business and Growth Flow. There is no Free column. The plan still exists, and the page confirms it indirectly by noting that the Contacts and Automations add-on is “available on all plans except Free and Basic”, but its limits are not published where you would look for them. If you intend to rely on the free tier, verify what it includes inside the product rather than from the pricing page.
Two costs that sit outside the plan ladder
Contacts and Automations is a paid add-on: 21 EUR a month for 2,400 actions, 66 EUR for 12,000, or custom, billed monthly on top of your plan and unavailable on Free and Basic. Talent, a separate plan for HR teams, starts at 119 USD a month, quoted in dollars on the same page that quoted our plans in euros.
Neither appears in the headline comparison. Both change the real monthly figure.
Why the format actually works
Presenting one question at a time reduces the perceived effort of a form. The respondent never sees fifteen fields and decides against it; they answer one thing, then another. Combined with logic jumps that skip irrelevant questions, the result is fewer abandoned forms. This is a genuine, measurable effect rather than a design preference, and it is what you are paying for.
Where cheaper tools have caught up
Tally and several others now offer the same one-question-per-screen model with far more generous free tiers. Typeform retains an edge in polish, branding control and integrations, but the gap is narrower than the price difference implies. If your volume is high and your brand requirements modest, look at the alternatives properly before committing annually. For research where you need to buy respondents, SurveyMonkey remains the better tool.
