How we select

Every record on this platform had to be a place a SaaS or software product can be listed, submitted, launched, reviewed or discovered - not a generic web directory that happens to accept URLs. Local-business platforms, search engines, and abandoned link farms are filtered out, and marked with an exclusionReason in the underlying data so a future pass can see why a scraped-in entry was pulled.

The initial dataset was compiled by Alston Antony across roughly 300 by-hand submissions to directories over the course of building and marketing software products; the 62 directories with authored profiles are the venues that cleared the DR 70 review bar at the time of that work. The remaining 281 records carry structured facts only - Domain Rating, link type, listing cost and category - and are marked as tracked but not individually reviewed.

Why submit at all

The realistic outcomes are additional product discovery, referral traffic from an audience that was not searching for you yet, third-party mentions of your brand as an independent entity, and - when the link is followed and the source is credible - some SEO signal.

Free versus paid

328 of the 343 directories catalogued here list your product for free. Free listings on directories with real authority and a real audience are the first work a pre-revenue product should do. Paid directories earn their fee where the platform's audience genuinely maps to the product and the free tier in the same category is already worked.
