Is Dynamics 365 Included in Microsoft 365?
Dynamics 365 is not included in Microsoft 365, despite the shared name and the shared 365. Two products, two contracts
The naming is the problem. Microsoft 365 is the productivity bundle; Dynamics 365 is the business applications line. Nothing in the Microsoft 365 business plans includes a Dynamics licence, and that holds at the enterprise E3 and E5 tiers too.

What the combined seat actually costs
A user who needs both is two line items. At the tier most businesses land on, that is the sum of two published figures.
- Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot, $23.50, plus Sales Professional, $65.00
- Together, $88.50 per user a month, or $1,062.00 per user a year
- Ten such users is $10,620.00 a year before any negotiated discount
- Moving that user to Sales Enterprise instead takes the pair to $128.50 a month, which is $1,542.00 a year.
What Microsoft 365 does give you
The relationship is integration, not entitlement. A Microsoft 365 subscription makes Dynamics cheaper to adopt rather than cheaper to buy: identity, Teams, Excel, SharePoint and Power BI all work without integration effort, which is the real commercial argument for choosing Dynamics over a rival CRM. It is also where the discount lives, because Dynamics is usually negotiated inside a wider Microsoft agreement rather than bought at list.
Where the confusion usually comes from
Three things make people expect Dynamics to be bundled, and none of them is a licence.
- The shared 365 in the name, which describes a subscription cadence rather than a product family with one price.
- The shared sign-in. The same work account opens both, so a Dynamics trial started from an existing Microsoft 365 login looks like an entitlement until the 30 days end.
- Copilot appearing in both. Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Premium include Copilot at $23.50 and $32.00; Dynamics 365 has its own Copilot features from Sales Enterprise at $105.00, and the two are separately licensed.
