No published pricing, and that shapes the purchase
We checked on 9 August 2026 and NetSuite publishes no rate card; its pricing paths do not serve a public page. Deals are generally structured as an annual platform licence, plus a per-user fee, plus whatever modules you need, plus implementation. That has three consequences worth planning for:
- You cannot compare without engaging sales, so start earlier than feels necessary.
- The modules are where cost accumulates. Confirm exactly which are included in your quote.
- Renewal is a negotiation, not a rollover. Ask about uplift caps before you sign, not after.
Do you actually need an ERP?
This is the question worth answering honestly, because the answer is often no. Signs that you genuinely do: several legal entities requiring consolidation, inventory across multiple locations, revenue recognition rules your accounting tool cannot express, or an order-to-cash process currently held together by spreadsheets and re-keying.
If none of those apply, Xero or QuickBooks Online with a few add-ons will cost a fraction and serve you better.
Implementation is the larger half
As with most ERP, the licence is not the main expense in year one. Data migration, chart-of-accounts design, process decisions and training typically cost as much again, and they are led by an implementation partner. Under-resourcing the internal side, particularly finance’s time, is the most common reason go-live dates slip.
What it is genuinely good at
Once running, the single-database model is the payoff. An order updates inventory, revenue and the ledger without integration jobs reconciling overnight. For businesses whose complexity is real, that coherence is why NetSuite has held its position for over twenty years.
