What Calendly actually costs over a year
A monthly price is not the same thing as a monthly contract. These are the plans above resolved both ways, per seat or unit where the plan is charged that way. Where a vendor quotes only a yearly figure it is divided by twelve rather than left out, and the Quoted column says which figure the vendor actually publishes.
| Plan | Quoted | Monthly | Over 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standardper seat | per month | $10 | $120 |
| Teamsper seat | per month | $16 | $192 |
| Enterprise | per year | $1,250 | $15,000 |

1 archived capture with no price we could read
The capture exists, but the figures on it could not be extracted - usually a page that renders prices in JavaScript, or a currency selector the archive did not record. Listed rather than dropped, because a gap in a price history reads as "nothing changed" and these are not that.
- 16 May 2021 - capture - no plan name sat next to a published figure in this capture
Compiled 18 September 2026 from the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. Plan names were matched against the archived page text and the first currency-anchored figure within 160 characters was recorded, rejecting any figure with a competing plan name standing between it and the name it was matched to. The currency and the unit were read from each capture rather than assumed: captures served in a currency other than $, and captures where no plan name sat beside a figure, are listed as unread rather than dropped. 1 plan series was read from these captures and then discarded, because the most recent capture did not reproduce the price we verified on the live page. Only plans the extraction demonstrably reads correctly are published here. Archived pages show the price as served to the archive's crawler, which may differ by region from the price you are shown.
Calendly pricing against its competitors
Compared on the smallest invoice each vendor will accept, not on the advertised per-seat rate. Where a product has a seat minimum, the figure below is the minimum times the rate, because that is the cheque you would actually write.
| Product | Cheapest paid entry | Free plan | Against Calendly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calendly | $10 a month | Yes | This product |
| Cal.com | $12 a month | Yes | +$2 a month (+20%) |
Which Calendly plan should you buy?
| Your situation | Recommended | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You need one booking link and nothing else | Free | One event type and one calendar connection. Adequate for a single recurring meeting type. |
| You book several different meeting types | Standard | $10 per seat for unlimited event types and multiple calendars. The one-event limit is what forces this upgrade. |
| You route inbound leads across a sales team | Teams | $16 per seat, adding round-robin, routing forms and the Salesforce integration. |
| You need SSO and procurement-grade security review | Enterprise | From $15,000 a year, which is a different conversation from per-seat pricing entirely. |
| You already pay for Microsoft 365 | Try Microsoft Bookings first | Included in a licence you hold, and adequate for straightforward external booking. |
| You want the same features cheaper and self-hosted | Consider Cal.com instead | Round-robin and routing arrive at $12, and it can run on your own infrastructure. |

Should you buy Calendly?
Buy Calendly if…
- Anyone booking meetings with people outside their organisation
- Sales teams routing inbound leads to the right representative
- Recruiters coordinating interviews across several calendars
Do not buy Calendly if…
- Purely internal scheduling, where calendar tools already suffice
- Teams already covered by Microsoft Bookings or HubSpot meetings
- Complex resource booking such as rooms and equipment
What leaving Calendly would cost
moderate lock-in
Calendly scores on public API. Portability 5/10 ; lock-in is the inverse. How this is calculated.
Where the money actually is
Most people know Calendly as a personal booking link, and at that job the $10 Standard plan is complete. The commercial product is Teams at $16, and the feature that matters is routing: a form that asks qualifying questions, then sends the booker to the right representative’s calendar based on the answers.
For an inbound sales team, that removes a manual triage step and shortens time to first meeting, which is measurable revenue impact rather than saved admin. If you are evaluating Calendly for a sales organisation, evaluate Teams.
Check what you already own
Scheduling has been absorbed into several products you may already pay for. Microsoft Bookings comes with Microsoft 365, HubSpot includes meeting links, and Google Calendar has native appointment schedules. None match Calendly’s routing, but all handle a straightforward booking link.
The honest test: if nobody needs round-robin or qualification routing, the bundled option is probably sufficient.
The free tier is a demonstration, not a plan
One event type and one calendar connection. That covers a single recurring meeting length and nothing else, so anyone using it seriously hits the limit within a fortnight. Treat Standard at $10 as the real entry price.
What good configuration looks like
The difference between Calendly saving time and creating problems is in the settings people skip: buffers between meetings, minimum notice so nobody books you in ten minutes, daily limits, and working hours that reflect reality. Configure those before sharing the link widely, because the default is an open invitation to fragment your week.
